Rob Schwartz is a proven corporate development professional and strategy leader creating value for over two decades in technology markets.

Most recently, Rob served as the de facto Corporate Development department for a $1B+ revenue robotics and AI software company focused on global logistics.  There, he created their global M&A effort from scratch, with responsibility for executing acquisitions in the US and Europe.  He executed their acquisition efforts, from identification of potential partners through initial engagement, due diligence, and negotiations. Rob also ran their pre-IPO competitive intelligence efforts.

Before that, Rob was Head of Corporate Development for Mitratech, a PE-owned software company in the Legal Tech and The Governance, Risk, & Complience sectors. There he kicked off an aggressive reboot of their inorganic growth strategy that continues to this day.  He was responsible for sourcing, vetting, and conducting diligence on all acquisition opportunities, as well as leading negotiations and integration planning on acquisitions in the US and Europe. These acquisitions advanced the successful sale of the Company.

Prior to Mitratech, Rob was VP of Strategy and Corporate Development for Granicus, a PE-owned software vendor in the Gov Tech markets. There he ran a team responsible for idea generation, market sizing, due diligence, financial modeling, and post-merger integration.

Earlier in his career Rob served as Executive Consultant and Director of Research for Bulger Partners, a boutique consulting firm focused exclusively on software due diligence for Private Equity and CEOs. Rob provided clients with insights in a number of software markets, including education, contact center infrastructure, service management, and ERP.  As head of Research Rob developed Bulger’s data governance policies and oversaw their publications.

At Pegasystems, a $1B+ revenue AI and software infrastructure vendor, Rob was VP of Corporate Development.  There he initiated and ran acquisition efforts in a wide range of domains, and closed deals with operations in India, EMEA, and Eastern Europe.

In a former life Rob was a senior research analyst for investment banks on enterprise software, including Jefferies, Thomas Weisel Partners, and Cowen.  During that time, he published proprietary research on over 50 companies.  Rob also worked on the Venture investing team of a public media and printing company and advised CEOs of private companies on their exits. He began his professional career in strategy consulting with BCG and The Monitor Company, where he focused on industrials in such diverse markets as paper, metals, and petrochemicals.

Rob holds a PhD in Business Economics from Harvard University.
